Main Objectives:
- Re-introduce the Diagnostic Tool and present the process of its implementation and the result of the analysis;
- Gather feedback on the results of the Diagnostic Tool as a basis for the recovery plan drafting process;
- Discuss directions and substances of the recovery plan based on the draft recovery outline and desk study conducted by the local consultant.
Description: As part of the global project “Building Urban Economic Resilience during and after COVID-19”, Suva City Council has conducted the diagnosis of its resilience and organised the Stakeholder Visioning Workshop to understand the strength and weakness of the city and challenges and opportunities for build back better.
As the diagnosis has concluded, the next step is to develop an inclusive, ambitious recovery plan that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, Paris Agreement, and New Urban Agenda. Ensuring the recovery is green is crucial to become a sustainable and inclusive city.
